Lay Leaders

Challenging Racism Team

Our Challenging Racism Team exists in an effort for AUMC members to educate ourselves and help create a church community and a world in which racism ceases to exist.

Congregational Care Team

Led by Maggie Roe
Our Congregational Care Team is a group of trained church members who provide compassionate care and support to fellow members facing various needs, including spiritual, emotional, and physical challenges, through acts of visitation, prayer, and encouragement.

Connection Team

Our Connections Team is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events that foster community engagement, spiritual growth, and fellowship within our church.

Creation Care Team

Discipleship Team

The Creation Care Team (CCT) at AUMC fosters awareness around critical environmental issues. We ALL have a large responsibility for taking care of the earth and it’s many living systems/beings.
The Discipleship Team plans & coordinates educational offerings that inform and support adults on their journeys of faith. Our topics intentionally reflect the breadth of the adult spiritual experience. You might learn about the “how-to’s” of prayer, or what it means to be a Methodist, or dig deeply into the history and interpretation of the Bible, or learn about topics related to justice and mercy in our community. Wherever you are on your path, we welcome you

Faith in Action Team

Led by Katie Vigil
Service is an important part of Arvada United Methodist Church. We want to serve our wider Arvada, Denver Metro, and Global Communities, and we want to grow in community at our church in doing so. AUMC's Faith in Action Committee is comprised of 5 outreach ministries: School, Homelessness/Housing, Hunger, Holiday, and Global Outreach. What's your passion?

Justice in Action Team

Open Tables Small Groups Ministry

AUMC’s Justice in Action Committee coordinates work that seeks to build a more just and equitable society for all. Using the United Methodist Social Principles as a guide, we connect individuals and small groups with opportunities to make voices of faith heard in the public arena, and we lead the church’s partnerships with other like-minded faith-based organizations for the purpose of effectiing social change.
Open Tables is a ministry for adults of all ages and walks of life to find a small group to connect with to feed their spiritual needs. From interest specific groups to fellowship groups- there is a small group at AUMC for you.

Arvada United Women in Faith

Arvada United Women in Faith (AUWFaith) is a community of women whose mission is to support equality and justice through compassionate service and advocacy.
