Sensing the Sacred: Our Advent Journey
The holiday season is a multi-sensory experience… imagine this season without twinkling lights, gingerbread smells, and cozy fires. The journey of waiting in Advent is also multi-sensory as we take in angel alleluias, a stable filled with hay, and the cries of a baby and a world waiting on a Savior. Savor the tastes, sounds, smells, and sights of this Advent season as we worship, serve, sing, and wait on the promise and good news of God’s coming to us in Christ Jesus!

The season of Advent invites us into the profound mystery of Emmanuel — God with us. This season is filled with complex emotions. Alongside the awe and promise of new life, we also acknowledge the frailty and struggles of being human, including grief and loss. No matter where you find yourself this holiday season, you are invited to a Blue Christmas service of worship. There is room for you and all that you may carry here.

Christmas Cantata: "The Sounds of Christmas"
“The Sounds of Christmas,” a Christmas Cantata for our community, features a variety of pieces curated by Music Director, Tim Kennedy, to offer an experience of Advent and Christmas through music that invokes our senses. The program will also feature a Carol Sing-along for the audience. The concert is free, so invite your friends and family! A free-will offering will be accepted to support AUMC’s music programs at the Friday night concert.
JeffCo Community Band Christmas Concert
Join us for our annual Christmas Concert, where we'll be playing holiday favorites like How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Patapan, as well as other Concert Band classics! The concert will begin with performances by several small ensembles. Cheer for your favorite section!
Children & Youth Christmas Pageant
This year AUMC's annual Christmas Pageant will be held on Sunday, December 22 at the 10am Family Worship Service. In this year's production of "Something Smells!", written by our very own Music and Worship Arts Director, Tim Kennedy, we will experience the nativity story through our five senses! Christmas Orchestra Concert
Join us for Arvada's annual Christmas Orchestra Candlelight Concert & Service. Featuring instrumentalists from our Arvada Community. Instrumentalists of all ages and experience levels are invited to join the orchestra! Rehearsals begin on Sunday, November 30th from 6:30pm-8pm in the AUMC Sanctuary. Hanging of the Greens
The service of Hanging of the Greens focuses on preparing for the birth of Jesus. Join us for a Hanging of the Greens worship service at 8:15am and 10am in the Sanctuary. Following the 10am service, all are invited to help decorate throughout the church for the advent season. Lunch will be provided!
Third Annual Dickens Christmas Experience
