SAFETY & HOSPITALITY MONTHS

at Arvada United Methodist Church

April-May 2026

This April and May will be Hospitality and Safety Months at AUMC, with special activities and trainings to ensure a safe and hospitable environment for all people, in both regular and emergency operations. We contribute to our church’s mission that “All People Matter to God and To Our Church” by cultivating a community where hospitality and safety work together so that everyone can gather, learn, worship, and grow in peace with hope. Please find ways that you can participate in strengthening our AUMC Hospitality and Safety by registering and attending the following events.

NEW NAMETAGS

Order and purchase your new AUMC member name-tag, complete with our new logo and larger letters! Click the button below to place your order or sign up/make payment at the church.

Help us be more hospitable as we welcome newcomers and build community with one another.

BASIC TRAINING

We will hold an All-Church Hospitality &  Safety Basic Training on Sunday, April 19 11:15am-12:30pm. All church ushers, hosts, staff, church leaders, and anyone else interested in our hospitality ministries and basic safety procedures are encouraged to attend. We will meet over a light lunch and learn the vital connection between hospitality and safety at AUMC.

CPR/FIRST-AID/AED

All AUMC Staff and KDD Staff are required to be certified in CPR/First-Aid/AED. You can also be certified, or renew your certification, at this comprehensive training on Sunday, May 17 2-6 p.m. in Room 209, led by Colorado Compressions. Cost per participant is $60 for the four-hour training and 2-year certification.
PLEASE NOTE: A second, identical certification training will be also offered on Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be a registration for this event later in the Summer.
