I am a Colorado native and grew up in Golden, CO. There I attended the Golden Methodist Church.

Family Information

I met my husband, Doug, while attending Western State College in Gunnison, Co. We have two daughters - Emily Kelly, who lives in Arvada, CO, and Meredith Kelly, who now lives in Tampa, FL. Both of them are still members of AUMC.

Experience

We started attending AUMC at the urging of my grandmother, Mildred Graves. This was around 1981. This would make me the fourth generation (of the Graves family) to be members of AUMC. I have been, and still am, a Sunday School Teacher. I was also a children's choir sponsor as well as acolyte co-coordinator for numerous years. I sang in the New Voices Choir. Doug and I were also unit leaders.

What do you do at AUMC?

Presently I am a Sunday School Teacher and the Nursery Coordinator for AUMC.

What do you like most about being part of the AUMC team?

I enjoy working with children – both in Sunday School and as the Nursery Coordinator. I really enjoy being a part of providing a safe environment for the children to play and learn while their parents attend various functions at the church.

What outside interests or hobbies do you have?

Some of the things I enjoy doing are scrapbooking, ballroom and country dancing, playing clarinet with the Jeffco Community Band, and traveling.
